08.22.26 Finishing the season with a 1:34.677 (-4.683s) at @theplacetorace. Haven't changed the setup since the last Pacific session 😎... cuz my dumbass forgot to order the front @k4rt30y endlinks for the swaybar and my dumbass left my ss brake line kit on top of my car and drove off to work 🤦‍♂️..

Anyways it definitely helped seeing @stefantomalik push my car to the limit at the Ridge before this which helped me push my car harder 💪

Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, I used to ride my bicycle past the Dayton Art Institute, but I never went inside. Those imposing steps made me believe there was nothing in there for me.

On Monday night, at the @studiomuseum Gala, I thought about those steps again. We celebrated with nearly 700 guests, including seven of the country’s leading museum directors and more than thirty of its most renowned artists.

Since 1968, the Studio Museum has challenged an art world that too often left Black artists outside its doors and excluded from the canon. Nearly six decades later, it has helped transform that world while remaining firmly grounded in Harlem. Its extraordinary new home on 125th Street is a testament not only to artistic excellence but also to perseverance, community, and the power of unwavering belief.

I was deeply moved to be honored for my 23 years of service as Chairman of the Board. The moment was shaped by ME/WE, the neon masterpiece that greets us all as we enter. This honor belongs to the generations of visionaries and supporters who built and sustained this institution. Above all, this journey would never have reached this milestone without my dear friend, the inimitable @thelmagolden, whose brilliance, determination, and commitment to the highest, most unassailable standards of excellence have led us through our most ambitious chapter yet.

As our deeply committed Board carries this legacy forward under Kathryn Chenault’s leadership as Chair, I could not be more confident in the Museum’s future.

Those doors on 125th Street are open. They belong to everyone whose journey includes experiencing the very best of artistic genius. I hope to see all of you there, and that you’ll bring young people with you to climb those steps and discover the power of culture as expressed by extraordinary Black artists in the Museum’s awe-inspiring new architectural landmark.
