On Monday, I had the absolute delight of attending the book launch of La Cuaderna – Pasatiempos para travestis y desviadas, created by @tazodemew & @jensdefries and beautifully illustrated by my talented friend @chorizamay. 💖

It was such a lovely evening, hosted by the fabulous @alexmarteen at the wonderful queer bookshop @libreriaantinous.

I’m very much looking forward to putting my Spanish to the test with all the puzzles and games!

Miami Man Eddrick Bethune Was Kidnapped and Killed by Fake Cops: Was One of His Alleged Attackers Actually His Friend? 🎥: @WSVN Blogged by: Draggy A 21-year-old Miami man has been arrested after investigators say he helped carry out an elaborate kidnapping involving fake police officers that ended with 22-year-old Eddrick Malik Bethune being shot to death in southwest Miami-Dade County. The Eddrick Bethune kidnapping has also sparked disturbing allegations online that the arrested suspect, Devorise Carl Johnson, may have been someone Bethune personally knew. While several social media accounts have described the two as friends, authorities have not publicly confirmed that relationship. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Johnson was arrested on October 14, following his discharge from a hospital where he had been recovering from gunshot wounds sustained during the October 4 incident. He now faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder. Investigators allege Johnson was part of a five-man operation that began on October 3 at the Aliro apartment complex, located at 14040 Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami. According to the arrest report detailed by Local 10 News, Johnson and four unidentified men arrived at approximately 9:41 p.m. and waited for Bethune to leave his building. Shortly after midnight on October 4, Bethune walked into the parking lot. Investigators say the men approached him in a gray 2026 Toyota Camry equipped with flashing red and blue lights designed to resemble a police vehicle. Two armed men exited the Camry wearing baseball caps, black pants, and long-sleeved shirts with the word “POLICE” printed across the back. According to the affidavit, they ordered Bethune onto the ground, handcuffed him, and took his apartment keys and cellphone. A third accomplice reportedly stepped out of the vehicle, threw Bethune’s cellphone across the parking lot and collected his apartment keys. He then signaled Johnson and another suspect to leave the Camry. What happened next turned the Eddrick Bethune kidnapping into a violent apartment invasion.
The view is nice, but what about me? 😁
This is definitely vulnerable / feels slightly embarrassing to share. But with World Mental Health Day being yesterday, I remembered I made this video back in February and never watched it or opened it again until this morning. I think it’s just a reminder that things will always, always get better, even when you think they won’t. Last weekend with my therapist I worked with at a place called onsite, I went over the many “rock bottoms” I’ve hit in the past 31 years. Moments I perceived as rock bottom, and some where I genuinely didn’t think I’d be able to make it through. But what I’ve recently realized is that every single time I’ve felt like I’ve hit a “bottom,” it’s brought out my deepest courage and strength to prove to myself that I CAN get out of it… eventually. And it may take 8 months like this time, it could take years, but EVERY time I’ve found my way out. I think I’m finally learning to give myself credit for that instead of focusing on the fact that I’ve hit those lows in the first place. So if you’re feeling at this very moment like you’ll never get out of the rut or deep, dark place you’re in, I want you to know that things CAN and DO get better. I’ve proven that to myself time and time again. Lastly, I’ve been spending the past few months finding more self-compassion that I’ve honestly never had, getting back the confidence I always had, but lost along the way, and leaning into the content and just things in general that brought me joy in the first place, that I only stopped when I let other people get in the way. And every day I find my way back to myself a little bit more and more, which is a really wonderful feeling. And I wanted to share that❤️
Today’s the day. Redemption. Last year I embarrassed myself in front of my family. This year, I’m walking out with the title. I’m finally turning the toy belt into the real thing. TNA Bound For Glory Tampa FL tnawrestling.com/events
