Why we don’t celebrate Halloween (if you are curious)👇 First of all, it would not be fair for someone to say, “stop forcing your conviction on me” when reading this caption, because if you choose to read on, it is now your choice to listen or to step out. No forcing here. However, I will be speaking more bluntly then I ever have before online in my caption below, so brace yourself: I believe Halloween, as it stands in our culture today in America, represents deeply dark and demonic things. The fascination with death, demon images, twisted crime scenes, witchcraft… truly only one thing inspires that, and it is the devil himself. Now I understand that Christian’s celebrate it with out including those things. But the reality is, if any trick or treating is involved, they will be walking their children up to those images/decorations attached to nearly every home. And for Christian parents, what about consistency? Witchcraft is only evil every other day of the year unless there is candy in a toy witch cauldron, then by all means, partake? We avoid horror movies every other day of the year unless it’s demon decorations on a front lawn, then by all means, partake? We don’t celebrate Halloween because of consistency. Evil is evil, everyday of the year. If witchcraft is obvious, in our face, and we choose to ignore it because of a holiday, that just seems like a walking contradiction. Death, ghosts, gore, demons, spell books, skeletons.. they are not “cute.” They are an abomination. And as a family, we opt out.

I’m done with the “what’s in my bag” videos that look pretty and do nothing 🙃 These are the things I learned the hard way, and I wish someone had told me before my first few trips. 1. Panty liners: Damp underwear, discharge, and sweating all day. Staying damp for too long is how I’d end up with an infection after getting back. Never again. 2. Body sunscreen: We obsess over our face and forget everything else. My body tan took forever to go away until I started wearing this. 3. A lip tint: Half the time there’s no mirror, so I’d look weird as hell all day and only realise in the evening. One tint in the bag is enough. 4. Sanitizer: Train doors, washroom handles, buses, leaves on a hike. I’ve skipped eating before because my hands weren’t clean, and food is the best part of travelling.
