Special one for us today.
A little over a year ago Anna Weinbeer took her first steps into professional mountain biking wearing our club jersey. Since then: Swiss champion, European champion, UCI Marathon World Cup title - and last Saturday, the biggest one yet. World Champion, Marathon, in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza. She went clear after 25 km, rode the final 70 km alone, and crossed the line in 5:30:54 - her first rainbow jersey, a year after finishing second.
Anna will be at the start line of the Gempen Grinder this September. For us that's not just a strong name on the startlist - it's one of our own, coming home to race with the people who watched this happen from the start.
Welcome back, Anna. Congratulations, World Champion. @annaweinbeer
