VCC × BMC – End of Season Ride 2026

Together with BMC, we’re closing the 2026 season with a very special ride: we’ll ride together to BMC’s headquarters in Grenchen and get an exclusive look inside their development lab. BMC’s Head of R&D and Head of Marketing will take us behind the scenes and show us what goes into developing high-end bikes.

Just like last year, but even better… another incredible edition of @gempengrinder . So many photos to share that I’ll have to do a Part 2! 🖨️

Super lucky to be able to capture all his shots! Hoping to be back next year! 🤩

Special one for us today.

A little over a year ago Anna Weinbeer took her first steps into professional mountain biking wearing our club jersey. Since then: Swiss champion, European champion, UCI Marathon World Cup title - and last Saturday, the biggest one yet. World Champion, Marathon, in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza. She went clear after 25 km, rode the final 70 km alone, and crossed the line in 5:30:54 - her first rainbow jersey, a year after finishing second.

Anna will be at the start line of the Gempen Grinder this September. For us that's not just a strong name on the startlist - it's one of our own, coming home to race with the people who watched this happen from the start.

Welcome back, Anna. Congratulations, World Champion. @annaweinbeer by @vcc_voyageracingteam

When we first started this Elite project around one year ago we knew we were up against a big task. Most of us had not raced at this level and the competition is fierce.

Each race we made progress and got better step after step. GP Luzern, the last stage of the Primeo cup, would anchor that. It promised to be a hard race which even got - usually Mr. Cool - @janoeschger nervous.

But it was clear, Jan wanted to shine and get a result. He survived round after round while the pack thinned out faster than pattern baldness over 35. At the end he even tried to escape from what was then a very small peloton, it nearly worked but they got back to him on the line… a strong race, P20 and with that our first points 🔥 next year we will come for more 😉

Meanwhile the rest of the guys also went far and beyond the limit, showing clear progress compared to the start of the season so we couldnt be more proud.

Congrats to @niklas_plattner - always cool to see a talent from the region take home the flowers 💐 by @vcc_voyageracingteam

ZURICRIT. Fast. Hot. Chaotic. 💥

Crashes in neutralisation. Crashes everywhere. Full gas from the gun.

🔥 **Jan — P27**
Battled the heat, then got stuck in the hardest gear after his shifter went into crash mode. Lost the group. Kept fighting.

⚡ **Robin — P35**
A crash in neutralisation made for a nervous start and a day spent fighting back through dropped riders. Legs were there. Positioning made it brutal.

🚀 **Selina — P5 Elite Women**
Fifth in the Elite Women’s race, lining up in a field featuring Tour de France Femmes winner Demi Vollering. Huge ride.

One seriously wild @zuricrit 🏁

And racing through the middle of Zürich with that crowd? Absolutely unreal. 🥳

NEW - THE GRUPPETTO

A new iniative for those who want to ride, but not alone. While the front of the field goes all out - we firmly believe that Gravel Races are not only about the fastest times or the best results. A Gravel race can be a fun but challenging test and by launching the Gruppetto we want to encourage riders who otherwise would not subscribe to an event to join in true VCC style at Gempen Grinder. We are setting a social pace and make sure that everyone gets to the finish line. by @vcc_voyageracingteam
