When you torque and Locktite everything down nicely then find something small on the tool cart which requires you to take everything apart again to install it

Put loctite and torqued to spec on crankshaft pulley, loctite turned into dust and pulley came loose 2 days later 😂

Why use a torque wrench if you are going over the torque setting

Loctite will actually cause you to over tighten the fastener if it’s a dry torque spec you’re using. Which could take it past the fastener’s elastic deformation range giving you worse performance

Doesnt loctite change the torque specs?

I worked in an auto manufacturing plant. Yes they run all the nuts and bolts with electric tools but they are calibrated to stop at the correct torque and do random audits to confirm correct torque spec

i don’t believe in loctite just makes it annoying the next and if you torque it’ll stay tight
