Tender chicken in a flavourful marinade, finished with a creamy white sauce and melted cheese — so simple, but SO good!

Ingredients

For the chicken:
• 500 g chicken
• 3–4 garlic cloves, chopped
• 1 large tomato, made into a paste
• 1 tsp chilli flakes
• 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp black pepper powder
• ½ tsp cumin powder
• ¼ cup yogurt
• Juice of ½ lemon

For the white sauce:
• 1 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
• 1 cup milk
• Salt to taste (use less salt if adding a cheese slice)
• ½ tsp oregano
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp black pepper powder
• 1 cheese slice, optional
• Mozzarella, for topping
• Coriander, for garnish
