The last day of summer started withTuesday tai chi and breakfast with my tai chi buddies, then home to the heavy lifting💪
It was the perfect day, still, bright and not too warm
These borders have had some changes over the summer and many changes need/needed to be made, they struggled!! More on this in a later post.
Today was a good day to make a start, with lots of rest breaks in-between barrowing the compost and enjoying what's still in flower in the garden in the September light🌸

What lovely photos and there’s nothing like top dressing your boards when it’s freshly laid compost it’s like cleaning your house and talk to bottom and everything looks great x

Great job there Kathryn. So glad I’m not the only one that gets distracted well that’s what I call it, it’s actually I’m thinking why the hell did I start doing this and I have a sneaky feeling compost shovelling was that for you 😂
