Charlie Lawrence @lawrence_char is a World Champion! I was lucky enough to have Charlie by my side as I attempted my 50k WR and have since watched him find his way in the sport. He owns the 50mile World Record, 100k AR, has a fancy adidas deal, and this past weekend he added 100k World Champion to the list. Heck of a progression. 👑

We chat all the latest running action - World Road Champs, Athlos, Charlie & Courtney 100ks, upsetting youth nationals news. Plus #fatbearweek ! and more on the latest Nobody Asked Us with Des & Kara. Give it a listen or watch (YouTube)!

Great episode again. Didn’t see the Nike news much on media and so thank you and @karagoucher for covering it. Yes, not only is the silence by Nike athletes deafening now they are all posting a hype Nike reel on their feeds. Do better @sifanhassan!

You have been an amazing role model to him and he refers to you as a "big sister." Thanks for introducing him to the ultra running world!❤️🤍💙

A masterclass by Charlie in preparation, vision, and execution. He's a world champion human too.

The joys of rediscovering some speed on those first few crisp fall runs: “Oh yeah, I’m not a piece of shit.” 🤣 So true.

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how emotionally happy I am right now. 🔨🥹❤️ This is a moment I’ve craved, dreamed of and worked so damn hard for.

WE BAGGED THE OVERALL PRO CARD! 🔨🏆
And to top it off, 2nd Runner-Up in the Pro Show! 🫶🏼

The sacrifices, sleepless nights, late-night cravings, missed social gatherings, strict diet, and all the mental and physical battles… every single bit of it led to this moment.

There were days I questioned myself, days I felt like giving up, but somehow I kept going. And today, I get to live a moment I once only dreamed about.
Thank you my coach @shihaz_navaz for being with me and believing in me 🥹♥️🫶🏼

To everyone who stood by me, believed in me, supported me and was a part of this journey — THANK YOU. I genuinely love you all. ❤️🥹

This is not the finish line. It’s just the beginning of something bigger.

A dream achieved. A new chapter begins. WAY MORE TO COME! 🫂❤️

Ad. Stuck on what to wear this weekend? Try this! Comment SHOP for the links. I’m wearing size 14 in leggings and size large in sweatshirt.

You really can’t go wrong with a pair of leggings and an oversized sweatshirt for an easy weekend outfit.

I love this sweatshirt because it has side splits, so it sits nicely over your hips without clinging. Perfect for those days when you want a little extra room around your tummy but still want to feel good in what you’re wearing!

Sometimes the simplest outfits are the best! @amazonfashioneu @amazonuk

i think i’ve spent a ridiculous amount of my life feeling like i’m not good enough.

even today.

you walk into a room with people you’ve admired for years and suddenly your brain starts doing stupid things.

am i smart enough to be here?

do i even belong in this room?

what if i open my mouth and say something stupid?

what if everyone realises i don’t know as much as they think i do?

sometimes it’s even sillier.

am i dressed well enough?

do i look like someone who belongs here?

and the funny thing is, i used to think one day all of this would disappear.

that after enough achievements, enough stages, enough wins, i’d finally feel secure.

but it doesn’t work like that.

you just enter bigger rooms and find new reasons to doubt yourself 😂

and i’m slowly realising something.

maybe the goal was never to become someone who doesn’t feel insecure.

maybe the goal is to become someone who can tolerate insecurity without letting it make decisions for them.

because imagine how many opportunities we’ve missed waiting to feel ready.

how many conversations we never started.

how many questions we never asked because we didn’t want to look stupid.

how many chances we didn’t take because we thought we weren’t good enough yet.

and that’s the part that scares me now.

not being rejected.

but letting my own insecurity quietly decide how big my life gets.

so now i try to do it anyway.

walk into the room nervous.

ask the question even if it’s stupid.

speak even if my voice shakes.

take the chance even when a part of me feels completely out of place.

because maybe confidence isn’t walking into a room believing you’re the smartest person there.

maybe it’s walking in knowing you might be the least impressive person there, and still refusing to make yourself smaller.

i don’t know if i’ll ever stop feeling insecure.

but i really don’t want to spend my life waiting for that day.

there’s too much i want to do before then.
