My dad bought this Panasonic VCR from Magnum Electronics (not Magnavox!) in Anchorage around 1982. Star Wars had just been released in VHS and the salesman gave us a free multi-day rental with the purchase of the Magnavox. A tectonic shift in movie watching!
Somehow we acquire copies of two movies that me and Greg (Greg more than me … he memorized the lines): The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Some Like It Hot.
