Yesterday, I was in Ikere-Ekiti to join family, friends, political associates, community leaders and well-wishers in paying our final respects to the late Senator Anthony Ademuyiwa Adeniyi, SAN, who represented the Ekiti South Senatorial District in the National Assembly from 2011 to 2015. It was a solemn occasion, marked by reflections on a life of public service, leadership and commitment to the people. The presence of His Excellency, Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Christianah Afuye, and other distinguished personalities further reflected the respect and regard with which the late Senator was held.
Senator Adeniyi’s passing is a profound loss to his family, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti South and Ekiti State, and to all who had the privilege of knowing or working with him. His years of service remain an important part of his public legacy and the history of representation in our senatorial district. As we bid him farewell, may Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and grant his family, friends, colleagues and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
May his memory remain a blessing, and may his soul rest in perfect peace.🕊️🙏
