We can’t heal you from a system that’s harming you.
Therapy can help you survive it. It can’t lower your rent, your gas or your grocery bill. It can’t lower your premium, refill your prescription or bring back your coverage. It can’t shorten a three month waitlist or convince insurance you’re “sick enough.” It can’t heal you out of racism, sexism, homophobia or any other system built to keep you down.
Therapy (western therapy) was built to help with individual pain. It was never meant to fix systemic harm.

Not a therapist but a nurse case manager and I agree ☝️ senior patients are hard hit as well. Risks of losing their homes on some of them too 😢

As a therapist I FEEL this 😢. The world is on fire and we can’t just individually therapist our way to liberation. It’s systemic issues that need systemic change. 💔

Basically yup people are talking to therapists and they're sick of hearing it because they can't help their clients self care out of a lack of community care and societal greed/failure
