Had a LOVELY time in Barrhead, Alberta, last week, talking about A.I. and why it still doesn’t take away the magic humans create. I had a short visit to the local coffee shop/bakery/garden centre, De Herdt Gardens in Barrhead and WOW, what an example! 

They’re weird (like Leopold’s weird, like in an awesome way). The coffee was great, the pastries looked unreal, and their “marketing” was knowing EXACTLY who they are! And yes, they do have dancing owners on their Instagram! But they also have old family pictures on their website. Umbrellas on the ceiling, funny signs in the washroom (God, I love a funny washroom sign!). This company is doing everything we would tell them to do if we worked with them! What a place to visit before you go on stage and tell people AI can’t take your WEIRD away!!

On top of that, the spread they had at this event was incredible, like the food was 5-stars at the Ritz. And you know how I like food. 10/10 would go there again!! 

There are some awesome folks in and around Barrhead who care about their work, their community, and learning new tools. Thank you for being wonderful hosts; I had an absolute blast!
