Help us introduce Sahara Alvarado, one of our amazing 12th grade Ed Rising members and our 2026–2027 Ed Rising Ambassador! 🍎

💕 Why Ed Rising? Sahara joined Ed Rising because she has a passion for education and wants to help inspire the next generation of teachers! She loves the opportunity to grow as a leader, connect with others who share her passion, and learn new ways to make a difference in students’ lives. She hopes to encourage future educators and show just how rewarding a career in education can be! ✨

🎓 Why Teaching? Sahara has had a passion for education since 9th grade and has been growing that dream ever since! With the support and encouragement of so many people along the way, she has become even more excited about pursuing a career in teaching. She hopes to one day be the kind of teacher who makes students feel supported, encouraged, and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. Her goal is to make a lasting impact on her students, just as so many people have impacted her! 🫶🏼

📖 Dream Grade: 4th grade! She hopes to create a classroom where students feel loved, supported, and excited to learn!

🌟 Fun Facts: Sahara is our Ed Rising Ambassador, the Vice President of Beta Club, AND a twin! She is also the only officer in Education Technology, which is the second pathway offered in the education course! 💻

🏃‍♀️ Favorite Hobbies: Running and reading! 📚

💫 Most Excited For: Sahara is most excited to grow as a leader, make meaningful memories with the Ed Rising team, learn new skills, and help her chapter continue to grow! She can’t wait to encourage future educators, share her passion for teaching, and make this a year full of new opportunities and unforgettable experiences! ✨
