Knowing they’re gone doesn’t stop you looking for them.
You might be managing the day quite well until you pause at a doorway, waiting for them to catch up. Then you remember, and need a minute.
Nothing new has to happen for you to have a hard day. You’re still missing someone who used to be there for all of it.

So true. I still look for my little Minnie on my bed in her favorite spot. Her blanket is still there now. ♥️🕊️
