Di tengah polemik yang berkembang, pakar telematika Abimanyu Wachjoewidajat menyoroti sejumlah aspek dalam video tersebut, mulai dari asal-usul file, percakapan yang terpotong, hingga bagian wajah yang diburamkan. "Dari konten yang sekarang tersebar belum konten yang real," ucapnya, dikutip Senin (12/10/2026). Karena ada pihak yang terlihat dalam komunikasi itu sengaja di-blur wajahnya. Sementara wajah Ruben tidak. Sehingga, dikatakan pria yang akrab disapa Abah ini, video tersebut bukan dokumen aslinya karena sudah diedit. "Tentu ada yang masih ditutupi sehingga itu bukan konten yang real," lanjutnya menjelaskan. Hal lain yang ikut disorot oleh Abimanyu adalah rekaman percakapan yang terputus-putus. Menurutnya percakapan melalui layanan pesan atau chatting semestinya dilihat berdasarkan rangkaian waktu yang utuh, sehingga potongan rekaman perlu diperiksa dalam konteks percakapan yang lebih lengkap. "Yang namanya chatting itu pasti end-to-end panjang," kata Abimanyu. Abimanyu menilai, potongan-potongan video perlu ditelaah dengan memperhatikan kesinambungan percakapan dan topik yang dibahas. Dengan cara itu, pemeriksaan tidak hanya bertumpu pada satu bagian rekaman, tetapi juga mempertimbangkan konteks yang melingkupinya. Meski demikian, adanya rekaman yang terputus-putus tidak serta-merta membuktikan bahwa video tersebut palsu atau telah direkayasa. Diperlukan penelusuran lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui konteks dan keutuhan rekaman.
