a month agoChrist’s kingdom is not a hierarchy. ONE. When I think of one I think of a circle with no beginning and no end. The first will be last and the last will be first. Jesus is a servant sharing his inheritance with us. Earthlings=man/wombman are 2 halves of the same whole. & the 3 fold cords 🪢
a month agoalso to add, in Genesis 2:18, the hebrew word for suitable helper is "Ezer Kenegdo" ; Ezer in Hebrew involves strength, rescue, and saving. Out of the 21 times ezer appears in the Old Testament, the vast majority of the time it describes God acting as a rescuer or deliverer for Israel (16 times), or military allies providing vital reinforcement (3 times), rather than a subordinate worker (only twice for the woman). Meaning even God himself refers to him as the helper, and the same he attributes to women. • Kenegdo (kə-neg-dō): A combination of terms meaning "corresponding to," "matching," or standing "face-to-face" as an equal counterpart. So wives, your not a "lesser than" to your husband as we submit; we are the suitable helper that our husbands need. Almost 10 years married, but the first few years were a power struggle, until I learned and submitted to the Lord,as Cody shared in the video. Wives, let's encourage our husbands instead of criticizing for every wrong we see. As we speak life, they become the husband we long for them to be. 🫶 As always, know that Jesus is always at work and don't give your marriage up.
a month agoEphesians 5:31–33 reveals that marriage points to a mystery: Christ and the Church. When Eve was created, Adam first had to fall into a deep sleep. In the same way, Christ first had to die so that the Church could be brought forth as His Bride. Marriage always points us back to God and His wife, Israel, or to Christ and His Bride, the Church. So submission within marriage is also a spiritual practice, learning surrender, humility, obedience, love, and how to bear fruit in the Spirit. And bearing fruit often requires dying to self, which is rarely painless. So perhaps there is something ironically meaningful about women being repeatedly called to practise submission, maybe we end up getting extra training in bearing spiritual fruit through marriage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
