About Pest Control:

The lantern fly is a strange creature native to parts of Asia. Its name promises light, but it creates none. Instead, it hides blinding patterns beneath its wings, revealing them only when threatened. Its instinct to survive is manifested by becoming something else—incomprehensible. It uses beauty, disguise and exaggeration as armour like a performer on stage, turning their body into spectacle. There is a quiet (loud) power in this transformation, in choosing to become excessive, unfamiliar and impossible to perceive. Performance becomes both a distraction and a declaration, a sharp refusal to be contained.
