A few things I’d tell anyone sitting in a beige living room right now:

→ You don’t need to repaint everything. Start with one wall or one big piece.
→ Pick one color you’d actually wear, then build around it.
→ Mix warm tones with one deep contrast. That’s where the richness comes from.
→ Texture does the heavy lifting: velvet, wood, brass, linen.

Be honest with me: if you walked into both rooms, which one would you want to stay in?

Beige or color? Tell me your side 👇

Send this to the friend who still thinks beige is a personality 😌

Save this for when you’re ready to stop playing it safe.

Beige can be beautiful when it's intentional, this is about leaving a room undecided.

Well the second look nice, but the contents of the bookcase are completely lacking identity and are uninspired and rehearsive. If you claim to bring character, buy antiques and collectibles! Tell your story. Otherwise there is no difference between beige and brown!

The first one! The second one is overwhelming for Mom, so I would follow her back to the beige room. It looks good, though, but there are people who like space. Also, beige and white gives her the proper amount of contrast so she won’t feel overstimulated.
