Since when did we all agree that everything has to be beige, white or grey?

Somewhere along the way, in our pursuit of timeless, we started making everything look the same.

Our homes got quieter.
Our wardrobes got safer.
Our spaces lost the little things that made them feel like us.

Because personal style was never meant to be a colour palette.

It was the strange chair you fell in love with.
The painting that made absolutely no sense with the sofa but somehow worked.
The tiles you chose because they made you ridiculously happy.
The objects you collected along the way.
The colours you weren’t supposed to put together.

Interior, fashion, even the way we live — they should say something about the person living in them.

So perhaps it’s time to stop asking, “Will this go with everything?”
And start asking, “Do I actually love it?”

Bring back the colour.
Bring back the quirks.
Bring back the things that don’t quite match.

Bring back more is more.
