I listen to women talk about being dismissed, ignored, and gaslit by our healthcare system every single day. For me, doctors began dismissing my symptoms when I was an infant. Before I could even speak.

And I think that history matters when we talk about abortion.

Women have spent generations living within medical and legal systems that didn’t treat us as equal authorities over our own bodies. Women weren’t even federally required to be included in NIH-funded clinical research until 1993.

So I don’t see women spending 5, 10, 15 years begging doctors to believe their pain as completely separate from laws restricting our reproductive autonomy.

They come from a history of other people being trusted to make decisions about women’s bodies before women themselves are trusted.

Doctors and their patients should be in charge of their healthcare. Not politicians. Not hospital lawyers.

Following #Atlanta’s heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the #GoldenStateValkyries, Reese shared an emotional message reflecting on her historic third season, thanking God, her teammates, family, and fans for their support.

The WNBA star admitted she’s still numb over how the season ended but says she has absolutely NOTHING to hang her head about!

“Every loss is a lesson & sometimes it’s not NO, just NOT YET. Delayed, not denied,” she wrote, adding that she’s hungrier than ever for more!

Reese also showed Atlanta some love, saying the city has meant the world to her in just seven months.
