💗 Celebrating 8 Years of Brittney 💗 This one is extra special because Brittney isn’t just part of the Twin Lakes team—she’s my daughter, and she has been beside me from the very beginning. For 8 years, Brittney has been a part of Twin Lakes, both full-time and part-time, stepping in wherever and whenever I’ve needed her. She has truly grown right alongside this business. She has seen it all—the long days, late nights, crazy wedding days, last-minute changes, stressful moments, lots of laughter, and so many beautiful celebrations. She has worn more hats than I could ever count and has helped Twin Lakes become what it is today. Brittney, thank you for the last 8 years. Thank you for all the things you’ve done that no one else sees, for stepping in when I need you, and for being part of this crazy dream from day one. Building Twin Lakes has been quite a journey, but getting to have my daughter be part of it with me for all 8 years makes it even more special. I love you, Brittney, and no matter how Twin Lakes continues to grow and change, you will always be a huge part of its story and its foundation. 🤍 Here’s to 8 years of weddings, memories, hard work, laughter, and probably a little bit of “Mom, what are you doing now?” 😂 Love you, Mom 🤍

I’ve carried this story with me for years, and sharing it publicly is not something I take lightly. During my senior year at Howard University, I experienced intimate partner violence. What happened changed me, and for a long time, I kept the details to myself. I didn’t tell my family everything until ten years later. It takes time … 🥰 NB : the cardboard isn’t a hand holder … it ‘s to protect the things I already painted in the bottom part of the painting . When I mix the clouds colors it sometimes splashes ( micro splash ) on the canvas. So better protect it. And yeah.. it actually replace my stick for the occasion.
