It’s so special when our couples come back to us as their families grow. 🤍

Five years ago, we were there to capture Kailey & Greg’s wedding day @crowleyopera , and now, on their actual 5-year wedding anniversary, we got to capture this beautiful new chapter with their baby girl, Lena. 🥹

Roger Moore and Tony Curtis, French Riviera, 1971. Or rather, Lord Brett Sinclair and Danny Wilde, in the opening episode of The Persuaders!, Overture, directed by Basil Dearden. Their first encounter says almost everything. Danny sits in his red Dino 246 GT, trying to get through. Brett is in the way, busy saying goodbye to a small delegation of beautiful women. Individually. With kisses. Danny has somewhere to be. Brett has standards. Once His Lordship has completed his diplomatic duties, he folds himself into a Bahama Yellow Aston Martin DBS and drives off. Danny tails him as far as the next red light. Then it’s a race. Old money versus new money. Aston Martin versus Ferrari. Two very different breeds of cool, neither remotely interested in coming second. Somehow, Curtis and Moore made it fly. The show lasted 24 episodes. That was enough. Riviera light, John Barry’s theme, two cars more memorable than most of the plots, and two stars who knew swagger works best when it looks accidental. Especially Roger. He had already spent seven years making Simon Templar impossibly smooth in The Saint. As Brett Sinclair he turned the dial up, and he did it personally: the end credits tell you Lord Sinclair’s clothes were designed by Roger Moore. Louder jackets, wider ties. Even less visible effort. The tuxedo was coming. Barely a year later he was filming Live and Let Die, the start of twelve years as Bond. But for one season on the Côte d’Azur, he got to be something even more Roger Moore than 007. Born 99 years ago today. Danny Wilde had to wait. So did James Bond. First, I made it a GOAL. Without a goal, I have no plan. Without a plan, I take no action. The first thing I did when I turned 70 in January was pick this October beach vacation. I need a date. I need a point in time to hold me accountable. I had 8 months to train my glutes with focus. I trained them twice a week, but I didn't change my training schedule. I still trained just 4 days a week for an hour. What changed was my intensity. I trained with more focus, pushed a little harder, and lifted a little heavier. I stay somewhat lean all year, but not lean enough to wear a thong! So, 9 weeks out, I started eating leaner, but I still kept my 3 cheat meals a week. I was actually ready in about 7 weeks, so I had to start eating more, adding additional carbs and protein. Otherwise, I would have just ended up skinny. All my cardio is done at home on a Stair Climber before breakfast. Over those 9 weeks, I went from 20 minutes and 1,000 steps to 30 minutes and 2,500 steps by increasing the speed. I usually did the Stair Climber 5–6 days a week. And yes, we still had our 3 date nights a week! Can I do this again at 71? Well, I'm actually only about 3 months away, so I've already made another GOAL. I want to improve on what I did at 70. I started this week. A GOAL. A PLAN. A DATE.
