This unobstructed view of the new Virani Hall and McNair Hall doesn't actually exist. You can find photos of the buildings from different angles or from an aerial view but not the whole structure from this frontal view. It is partly covered by James Turrell's " Twilight Epiphany" or multiple trees at street level. This design was conceptualized by @velocityoftears and we collaborated on the final mock up using multiple reference photos. There was no ventilation so I had to paint most of it by hand. The motion blur and the glow of the text and the clouds were painted by spray paint, using the water based formula from Montana 94 and Liquitex, which for the record I hate both of those spray paints now. I'm glad I could bring this one to life for the fine people at @rice_business @riceuniversity

You can find this mural just above the light sculpture in the rotunda on the 3rd floor.
