Located on Central Parkway, on @overtherhine’s border with @downtowncincy, the American Building is internationally recognized as an excellent example of Art Deco architecture.

Built in 1928, this 16-story limestone structure was designed by Joseph and Bernard Steinkamp, prolific local architects responsible for many elegant buildings of the era. It features a stepped façade and geometrical details.

The lobby sports a coffered ceiling with @rookwoodpottery tile, walls covered in book matched marble, and a terrazzo floor. When built, the property owners marketed the office building to the legal community, citing proximity to the Hamilton County Courthouse.

After a complete renovation in 2004, the building now contains luxury condominiums with a salon and offices at street level. The residential units have high end finishes including granite counters, stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors, and the building features a rooftop deck, fitness center, clubhouse, and secured parking.
