🏔️ From a pitch in Munich to plans in Denver: Ewigbyte is building data infrastructure for the AI era.
The Munich startup stores data in laser-written glass. It is physically immutable and needs no power or cooling to retain data. Backed by @sprind_bundesagentur, Germany’s Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation, the team is now looking across the Atlantic.
It began in June, when Governor @jaredpolis and a Colorado delegation joined us at @start2.group in Munich for a joint Deep Tech pitch competition.
Eight teams. Three minutes each. Ewigbyte was one of the winners invited to @costartupweek.
In September, the team went.
“Being there was a completely new ballgame.”
They met Governor Polis at the State Capitol, talked with the pioneers behind StorageTek and Exabyte, and sat down with prospective research partners, investors, and customers.
Now they are planning a first Denver presence at the German American Chamber of Commerce - Colorado Chapter.
