Manchmal braucht es keine 20 Menschen, um sich geliebt zu fühlen. Manchmal reicht ein einziger Mensch, der wirklich da sein möchte. Wir verbringen so viel Zeit damit, für andere da zu sein. Wir erinnern uns an Geburtstage, organisieren Überraschungen, hören zu, helfen und geben unser Bestes, damit sich die Menschen um uns herum besonders fühlen. Doch irgendwann stellen wir uns vielleicht selbst die Frage: Wer würde sich eigentlich genauso viel Mühe für mich geben? 🥺 Mit den Jahren verändert sich unser Blick auf Freundschaft. Es geht nicht mehr darum, möglichst viele Menschen um sich zu haben. Nicht um volle Gästelisten, unzählige Glückwünsche oder große Feiern. Es geht um die Menschen, bei denen wir uns nicht verstellen müssen. Die uns nicht nur dann sehen, wenn sie etwas brauchen. Die von sich aus an uns denken. Denn die schönsten Momente entstehen oft nicht dort, wo die meisten Menschen sind, sondern dort, wo wir uns am meisten geliebt fühlen. Und vielleicht ist das eine der wichtigsten Erkenntnisse des Älterwerdens: Lieber zwei Menschen, die wirklich bleiben, als zwanzig, bei denen man sich trotzdem allein fühlt.
Das härteste Urteil über Mütter kommt von Frauen. 👉🏼 Élisabeth Badinter hat mir in Paris erklärt, woher das kommt. Der Druck ging lange von den Männern aus. Weil es für sie von Vorteil war, haben sie die Verantwortung für das Kind vollständig an die Frau abgegeben. 👉🏼 Geblieben ist ein Maßstab, den nie jemand definiert hat. Und wer einen Maßstab übernimmt, den niemand definiert hat, kann ihn nur verfehlen. 👉🏼 Heute braucht es dafür keine Männer mehr. Wir kontrollieren uns gegenseitig, ob wir dieses Erbe richtig umsetzen. Das müssen wir ändern und zwar wir, nicht die anderen. „Gute Mütter, schlechte Mütter“ überall wo es Bücher gibt. 📚
