Swagato Chakravorty

Immense gratitude to @dawn2946 @internationalexaminer for this generous and expansive profile (link in bio) interweaving my professional trajectory with an upcoming exhibition that I could not be more excited to present here in the Pacific Northwest: Invention into Existence, opening February 2027. It is a project I have in one way or another been thinking about for many years, and which has gained new specificity and urgency in this moment, here, on the Pacific Rim: a place that compels us to think in terms of relationality and networks (economic, cultural, ecological, communal) rather than structures of domination.

Especially grateful to be seen in relation to the work of the iconic @tishanhsu — whose new, site-specific mural commission you can find along the exterior of @henryartgallery. Don’t miss the @internationalexaminer article on this terrific commission, organized by the intrepid @ngbozicnik 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 You’ll also see Tishan’s magnificent work from the 1980s in our galleries very soon ☺️
