Back to basics 😎💙

In 2024, I won a Golden Ticket to WSER at CCC. I turned the ticket down that year. It felt too soon, too rushed. I wanted to run more 100km races before jumping into 100miles, I wanted to feel ready.

This year, after being handed the Golden Ticket, my first thought was that I’m still not ready. I’ve sat on this decision for a few weeks now, fearful of the distance, but also curious. I’m excited for training that’ll go into showing up prepared for it. Excited about something different, runnable, hot, a new type of challenge.

I don’t think I’ll ever ‘be ready’ for this distance or race. But I’m curious enough to try.

So… I guess that means I’ve accepted my ticket and secured my entry to WSER 2027. LFG🫰

(Comrades will have to wait another year or two😉)
