Hi! I’m Flore and I am a dancer, performer, and maker in (mostly) performing arts, who is always curious to see what else is out there.
My love for improvising started during my studies at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, when we did an improvisation project with musicians. The excitement of not knowing what will happen exactly, gave me a specific kind of urgency and focus to be fully present in the moment. It challenges me to stay in contact with myself and others while feeling vulnerable since anything could happen.
Since August 2025 we started Chapter 58 with Antti and Sofia. I love working with those generous creatures, because we give each other space and safety to fail and try out stuff that we don’t master yet. We allow play, and messing about. Besides that, we also have a lot of trust in each other’s skills and honesty. I think that combination keeps inviting us to stay curious, to keep developing, instead of going into our own safe habits.
You don’t find that easily, such a fertile and stimulating work environment.
Next to the work I do with Chapter 58, I also dance, perform and create solo or for other artists. Many of them are interdisciplinary projects or site-specific projects and are either theatrical or interactive in nature. I adore projects with a good dose of chaos, arbsurdity, playfulness, friction or ambiguity. However simple, I like it when there is something radical in a project.
A few of the makers I have worked with by Tamara Cubas (UY), Jesús de Vega (ES/NL), Rafaela Sahyoun (BR), Judith Sanchez Ruíz (CU), Sophia van der Putten (NL), Nika Jankovic-Disney (HR), Buro Nieuw Perspectief (NL), Christina Mastori (GR/UK/NL), and Sofia Garcia Miramon (AR/NL) and BUI (NL). Next to that, I frequently collaborate with musicians from the experimental music scene, such as Lida Brouskari, Thomas Jaspers, Marcus Wärnheim, Antigoni Seferli and Carmela Michailidis.
I performed at Amsterdam Fringe Festival, Julidans, Café Theater Festival, Delft Fringe Festival, Pictura, and Murf/Murw.
