What an amazing evening last night with 445 visitors attending the private view for @assembly_rss_exhibition. It is a privilege to be exhibiting with 34 other members and fellows of @royal_sculptors @hyphastudios South Bank, curated by @studioalexandracarr and @breeze1778 of @breezecreatives
The exhibition brings together different sculptural practices . I am seen here with one of my works the Weight of Ornament.
The seductive beauty of architectural ornament is used to expose the hidden weight of colonial wealth, exploitation and lives rendered invisible within Britain’s decorative heritage.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of free artist-led conversations, tours, performances, workshops, exploring some of the ideas, processes and materials that underpin their practices. I will be running a free workshop on 6th Nov explaining the sculptural processes behind the works in the show.
