After 18 years at @musicaustria, Franz Hergovich is stepping away from Austria’s music support and advisory sector.
Since 2008, he has held various positions at mica, advising musicians on professional and legal matters and helping them take their first steps into international markets. As a co-initiator of @austrian_music_export, he played a key role in developing Austria’s international music export activities. Before that, Franz worked in music distribution, organised concerts, worked as a DJ and was involved in European music networks.
In an interview with Michael Ternai from mica, Franz now looks back on his beginnings in the music business, his time at mica and, of course, his particular passion, Austrian Music Export.

With the fullest of hearts, we bid farewell to an extraordinary colleague, inspiring leader, and dear friend. Thank you for everything, and wishing you all the best for this next chapter. ❤️❤️❤️
