Old video- I get asked this question a lot. So if you are new here Benji is diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He is non verbal. He never formed any baby babble. (ex: mama dada baba) Just because he’s non verbal doesn’t mean he doesn’t get his message across. Of course like any baby he has unique cries for different needs. He also knows how to yell for us if his iPad turns off while he’s playing with it. He has happy screams too! He will communicate with an eye gaze device! We hope one day to hear him say his first words but I’m just grateful we get to hear his voice at all!

‎هذه ذاكرة إنسانية جماعية مشتركة، ومتوحدة على رفض تكرار هذه الجريمة في التاريخ الإنساني، ليس لأنها تهدد الشعوب التي تتعرض للإبادة فقط، بل وتهدد البشرية بأكملها إذا اعتادت على مرور هذه الأحداث مثل أي خبر آخر، لأن هذا يعني إمكانية تقبل البشرية مرة أخرى لإبادة جديدة في أي مكان من العالم.
‎يذكرنا هؤلاء الناس أن هناك من لم يستسلم ولم يقبل إسكات صوته أمام القتل، وأن الأرقام المخيفة لتعداد ضحايا الإبادة، لم تكن بالنسبة له أرقاماً بل جزءاً من ذاكرته الشخصية وآلامٍ اختبرها مع عائلته وأحبائه.
‎يذكروننا بأننا لسنا وحدنا، وأن الإبادة ليست قضية الفلسطيني وحده، بل هي قضية كل إنسان حر. ويذكروننا بأن الإبادة لن تصبح أبداً حدثاً عادياً ولو بعد عشرات السنوات.
