Some wear uniforms, hold public office, teach, coach, pray & are in positions entrusted with protecting women & children from domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. I didn’t include the countless teachers, principals, counselors, therapists, doctors, coaches and pastors that are listed on @red_flagsandbodybags The reality is that these individuals are embedded in our communities, families, friendships, and social circles. They are people we welcome into our homes, trust around our children, and sometimes defend without knowing who they really are. The individuals featured in this post? These are the ones who got caught but there are ones who still live amongst us. They deliberately position themselves in positions of power, not only to disguise who they really are, but to gain access, influence, and protection for themselves and like-minded individuals. The very institutions entrusted with protecting children can become places where abuse is concealed and accountability obstructed. Yes, women commit these crimes too, but men overwhelmingly account for DV/sexual abuse offenses. We also need to stop assuming incarceration or therapy automatically eliminates the risk of future harm. This won’t go away. And let’s not forget the enablers. Some of the most dangerous individuals are those who knowingly protect these predators, silence victims, discredit those who speak out, and shield perpetrators from accountability. You can look away if you want, they don’t have to be strangers. Sometimes they’re sitting right beside us. We need to ask WHY our children aren't being protected and WHY predators aren't being held accountable. Take a look at who's being exposed. His mother, Debbie, a 60-year-old New York jeweler, was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer in 2023. By late 2024, it had spread to her brain, and the treatments available in the US weren’t good options for her. Max learned that a targeted drug called sunvozertinib, made by a Chinese company, had already been approved in China. He flew to Shanghai and came home with 26 boxes of the medication, which reportedly cost about $10,000. It made a real difference. Along with a few rounds of radiation and some dose adjustments, the drug has kept Debbie’s cancer largely under control for about 19 months, and she’s kept working through it all.
