Should Christians celebrate Halloween? šŸŽƒ

I think there’s room for an honest conversation here… We can take spiritual darkness seriously without living in fear of everything around us.

There’s a difference between discernment and fear, and between biblical commands and personal convictions.

At the end of the day, we may not all land in the same place, and that’s okay.

Here’s my attempt to put some thoughts to this conversation. I’d love to hear yours! šŸ‘‡

The leader and creator of Satanism thanks Christians for allowing their kids to celebrate Satan once a year - Halloween. What do you think of that?

I love this point of view. I think we forget how powerful the Holy Spirit in us is. If we have convictions, FOLLOW your conviction. But to be a judge of others and place fear on others I don’t think reflects the heart of Jesus. If you are concerned about those around you and what they are participating in, pray for them! Be an example to them, be a light to them, but always show love. We can also show love with correction, but there’s a time and place for that too. We can also lead by example, I know for a fact that at times I have a desire to go to a Halloween party to be around family, but then I feel convicted to even participate, so I just stay home, but I don’t make anyone else feel bad for going! I explain my truth and my relationship with Christ and I hope that it impacts that other person, it’s that simple.

If you don’t feel convicted then fine. But I do still think that it is desensitizing children to things like witchcraft and the demonic world. Maybe if you only stick to church functions but the last time I went trick or treating was 2 years ago and my child was terrified of some of the decor and costumes that I cannot control and why would I subject my child to that… somewhat knowingly, as a Christian? It’s a no for me

I hate scary movies and always have because of the demonic things. I choose to not watch those for a reason. That’s my choice! I love hearing your sermons and I don’t have to be a scientist to understand what you’re saying because I have an open mind and an understanding of who God is. Well said!! šŸ™

Unfortunately, in today’s world, there is no time to be flippant on such things as Christian’s. Please take a deeper look into what this holiday is actually celebrating. Actively participating in a satanic holiday is wrong, regardless of your ā€œheart postureā€. And you will be judged accordingly. Respectfully sir

I guess I am the only one that has ever thought that Halloween was a time for costumes and candy and gathering with friends and family for games and fun and it has never once been celebrated for witchcraft, Satan or the dead regardless of the decorations people hang. I def don’t thinks it’s a huge deal.

As for me and my house, we are covered in the blood of Jesus and I am a sucker for free Milky Way bars so Halloween is a GOšŸ˜…šŸ™šŸ½

This is a great take on the higher law of thins. People similarly want to have hard opinions on niche things like Halloween when they will daily live in low quality inputs of music, movies, or shows the same way people want to freak out about seed oils or water inpurities while living in the habits of daily feeding their body junk food.

Witchcraft is evil but decorating your house with things that represent evil is very different and acceptable? šŸ¤” how can you be a light and celebrate darkness?
