I’m still digesting everything that happened this past week at the Adventure Racing World Championship in Corsica. A whole year of planning, countless hours of training, and balancing work, family, and life… all leading to this unforgettable experience.
189 hours of racing and more than 17,000 meters climbed — and somehow, the hardest part now might be coming back to normal life. How could we not feel that post-race depression after something so life-changing?
If I had to describe this experience in one word, it would be STUNNING! From reconnecting with our AR family and representing our country’s flag 🇪🇨to the incredible Corsican culture, breathtaking landscapes, amazing people, and the teammates I had the privilege of racing with. Even those unpleasant surprises along the trails… NNNNOOOO! 😂
This is what makes adventure racing so special: the places, the people, the suffering, the laughter, and the memories that last a lifetime.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine racing in Corsica, let alone joining so many incredible athletes in the Adventure Racing Hall of Fame. Still trying to wrap my head around that one!
I’ve never been the fastest or the slowest. I just love this damn sport and want to help others fall in love with it, too.
Thank you, God, for this opportunity and for doing immeasurably more than I could have ever asked or imagined. 🙏 Thank you, babe, for being there and making so many teams smile. And thank you, teammates, for the grit, the laughs, and pushing through every high and low. We did this together! ❤️

¡CÓRCEGA FUE MAGIA! Todavía estoy procesando todo lo que vivimos esta última semana en el Campeonato Mundial de Carreras de Aventura en Córcega. Un año de planificación, incontables horas de entrenamiento y el desafío de equilibrar el trabajo, la familia y la vida… todo para llegar a esta experiencia inolvidable. 189 horas de carrera y más de 17.000 metros de desnivel positivo… ¡y ahora quizás lo más difícil sea volver a la vida normal! ¿Cómo no sentir esa tristeza post carrera después de una experiencia que te cambia la vida? Si tuviera que describir esta aventura en una sola palabra, sería ¡ESPECTACULAR! Desde reencontrarme con nuestra familia del AR y representar la bandera de nuestro país, hasta disfrutar de la cultura corsa, los paisajes impresionantes, la gente maravillosa y el privilegio de competir junto a un equipo increíble. Y esas sorpresas no tan agradables en los senderos… ¡¡¡NOOOOO!!! 😂 Esto es lo que hace tan especiales a las carreras de aventura: los lugares, las personas, el sufrimiento, las risas y los recuerdos que quedan para toda la vida. Jamás imaginé competir en Córcega y mucho menos tener el honor de unirme a tantos atletas increíbles en el Salón de la Fama de ARWS. ¡Todavía me cuesta asimilarlo! Nunca he sido el más rápido ni el más lento. Simplemente amo este maldito deporte y quiero ayudar a otros a enamorarse de él también. Gracias, Dios, por esta oportunidad y por hacer infinitamente más de lo que jamás pude pedir o imaginar. 🙏 Gracias, amor, por acompañarnos y sacarles una sonrisa a tantos equipos. Y gracias, equipo, por la garra, las risas y por seguir adelante en cada momento bueno y malo. ¡Lo hicimos juntos! ❤️ Pronto vendrán más historias, cuando mis neuronas vuelvan a conectarse…Gracias a todos los que nos siguieron por las oraciones buenas vibras y el@apoyo!
