Born in St. Petersburg in 1992 and educated at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts and Design, Lavi Li works in traditional oil painting, inspired by years of journeys through Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
Her paintings explore identity, memory, heritage and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Through classical figurative painting, she looks beyond stereotypes of the Arab world — towards its people, traditions, landscapes and deeply rooted ways of living.
Her work has been exhibited across the UAE, UK, Europe, the USA and Japan, and featured by international art platforms and publications.
A practice rooted in tradition, observation and a search for something real.
