Yorkshire Wildlife Park remains closed after a man climbed into a tiger enclosure and was fatally attacked by the animal on Saturday, 10 October. Emergency services were called to the park, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, at about 1.30pm, after reports of a man climbing down into the enclosure from a walkway. ⚔️🏛️ Hans Zimmer, Lisa Gerrard and Klaus Badelt – Now We Are Free, from the film Gladiator Indigo – choir 🎤 • The 2001 Golden Globe for Best Original Score went to Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard, together; in the Oscar nomination for the same score, the Academy credited only Zimmer. The credit printed for this track on the album pressings, transcribed by the SoundtrackCollector catalog, adds Klaus Badelt to those names. In an interview with the site Synchrotones, Gerrard describes her own role in the film: she says she worked mostly on the emotional music and the dark voice, and jokes that she did all the deaths. The RTVC site reported that she would close the Fimucité festival in Tenerife, singing Now We Are Free with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife during a screening of the film, and that she had already performed the score at the Colosseum in Rome. • Listen again for the point where the first soloist drops to the low register and falls silent: for a moment only the accompaniment goes on, and the camera shows her, mouth closed, eyes lowered, until the voice returns. • Singing here is Indigo, a choir from Lithuania. According to the description the group itself posted with the video, it was created in early 2013 for a Lithuanian TV show, Chorų karai, on the initiative of the rapper Vytautas Matuzas, called the General of the choir. In the video, the singers, barefoot, in white tunics and dresses, walk along the steps and cross paths while the introduction plays; later they stop in a line, the Colosseum on the screen behind them. The choir published the recording in August of that year, and it has tens of millions of views.
