CHAPTER 31: GRATEFUL TO BE HERE. 🥂♎️❤️

October 13, 2026. Officially 31 years of life, lessons, blessings, challenges, growth, and becoming.

I genuinely wasn’t planning to celebrate my birthday this year. After experiencing one of the most disappointing birthdays of my life when I turned 30, I entered this new chapter with very few expectations. But GOD had other plans, and so did some incredibly thoughtful people. ❤️

To EVERYONE who called, texted, sent birthday wishes, sent money, gave gifts, showed up, made time for me, or simply went out of their way to make sure I felt loved and celebrated: THANK YOU. You have no idea how much your kindness, generosity, and consideration meant to me.

Yesterday’s disappointments didn’t prevent today’s blessings. This birthday reminded me that I am loved, appreciated, valued, and fortunate to have people in my life who genuinely want to see me happy.

Was everything perfect? Absolutely not. But was I grateful for every moment? Absolutely.

And to the server who told me I looked 17 when I said I was turning 31… YOU DESERVE A RAISE! 😂❤️

I’m entering this chapter more intentional about who I am, what I allow, how I love, how I treat others, and the man I’m becoming. I’m still learning. Still healing. Still evolving. Still making mistakes and correcting them. Still discovering what it means to become a better human being, a better individual, and a better Black man.

I don’t have everything I want in life, but today reminded me that I already have things money cannot buy.

To everyone who made October 13th special: thank you for giving me memories that I’ll carry into the years ahead. I hope the love and kindness you showed me find their way back to you many times over.

31 years down, and by God’s grace, so much more life, love, wisdom, purpose, and opportunity ahead.

I’m not who I was. I’m not yet everything I’ll become. But I’m grateful to be here, and I’m proud that I haven’t given up on becoming better.

Here’s to Chapter 31. 🥂

Happy Birthday to you. I pray for your time on this Earth to be filled with Love and Laughter. Enjoy the little things in life because it flashes by us unnoticed. A cool breeze on a hot day, a smile from someone whom you don't know. God has blessed us with so much. Breathe it all in, the good and the not so good. We all are just passing through this thing called life. Try not to let the system of survival rob you of your Joy. I send you peace in your 31st year "nephew" and many Hugs. Always in your corner. ❤️😍
