Happy Pink Wednesday π₯°πβ¨
I read πβπ π
ππ π π΅ππππππ by Sasha Peyton Smith last year and I really enjoyed it. Itβs set in the Victorian era with a fae queen on the throne who gives each debutante one wish but at a priceβ¦ like beauty for a limb.. I loved this book π€π Iβm really looking forward to reading the second book πβπ πβπππ ππ’πππ. I actually got it last week. I already had these photos ready but next time Iβll photograph them both π₯°
Q: Is there a genre you used to love but stopped reading for some reason? π
I used to love horror, regency and historical romances. In my teenage years I used to go to the library every week to borrow books for my grandmother. I didnβt have to pick them. The librarians would put together a pile for her while I was browsing for myself and check if sheβd already read them. I was in my early fantasy and horror era so these romances took me by surprise. I loved them. The best ones were from a Polish collection called βDonβt hide this book from your wife. Sheβll buy herself a new one anywayβ π€ I still remember my favourite authors were LaVyrle Spencer, Maggie Osborne and Jude Deveraux. I think Maggie Osbornes western romances were my favourites. They remind me a bit of todayβs cowboy romances.
I really wonder if Iβd enjoy these books just as much now π€
