Yes, our daughter will chew on a chicken leg while telling us the chickens can’t go…
She’s not confused about why we raise animals for food. She loves her ground beef, scrambled eggs and pork. The hard part is letting go of the ones she’s cared for.
Our biggest mistake was the turkeys. Dad said yes to keeping a couple for breeding. Then we decided all of them had to go, and it turned into a big drama, because she’d been told something different.
What helps us now: remind them at every step what each animal is for and why, so the day never comes as a surprise.

The fastest way to help a meat eater want to engage their predatory side, stop giving them meat. 😂 They will start behaving as a natural predator and the killing and cooking will happen quickly. 🍖 🥩
