What an absolute tool. I think we need a complete overhaul of the members of Parliament and maybe have a mouthpiece who's got experience in the field they profess to experts in. How dare he say midwives need reeducating and told how to work with doctors. We do that all day every day. Every midwife wants whatever is safest for mums and babies, not one midwife is putting anyone at harm for their own agenda. Properly fund the service so there's adequate staffing levels to ensure everyone gets the care and attention they deserve, instead of continually making cutbacks and expecting us to look after multiple women at once and not drop the ball. Completely tone deaf statement from this excuse of an MP

Waffle this crap all you want @jeremyhuntmp . The education service is excellent..........I'm in it now!....what you need to do is employ more midwives. They are scrimping and scraping for staff and a man who has no experience at all in this field needs not to provide his 'opinion' but to pass the problem to someone who is experienced on busy birthing centres and wards and who possibly has a vagina!!

It’s not about re educating!!!! It’s about funding and increasing the amount of staff available to meet the care needs of women and family’s. Jesus Christ it’s so obvious… how about talk to those in the know not just look at numbers and pretend to care by making up some rubbish about re educating

Is this a fucking joke? we go to work and do our best for our women but do you realise that when it goes out of the realms of normality in our job we have to escalate to the doctors, but you wouldn’t know that because you haven’t got a fucking clue what you’re talking about.
