Lisa is a therapist herself, but nothing prepared her for truly understanding lymphedema until she lived it.
Diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer at 41, Lisa caught it early and went through nearly a year of surgeries, chemo, and radiation. After surgery, lymphedema set in, bringing swelling and pain in her right arm and breast that left her weak and, at first, in denial about what was happening.

This
#BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, we want survivors like Lisa to know: lymphedema is common after breast cancer treatment, and PTSMC can help manage it. At PTSMC Shelton, our specialists create personalized care plans using manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and strength-focused rehab to help you move, and feel, like yourself again.
Lisa's goal was simple: "I wanna feel strong." Ours is to help every patient get there.
