At PTSMC, leadership looks different for everyone. 🧑‍⚕️ It's a clinical mentor guiding new grads through their first tough cases. It's a specialty lead building expertise in a niche that patients actually need. It's a director of clinical success shaping how an entire team learns and grows. 🌱

Ownership IS one path here, but it's certainly not the ONLY one. We've built real tracks for clinicians who want to lead, specialize, teach, and grow. 💪 If you've been told career growth in PT means going solo, we'd love to show you another way.

Rapid fire with our newest partner, Conner! 🙌

We sat him down in the gym for some quick-hit questions, and he did not disappoint (squat demo included). Dry needling and cupping are his go-to treatments, knees are his favorite to treat, and he's already dropping gems on the patient mistakes he sees most.

This is the kind of energy and expertise we look for when we bring on a new partner. If you're a PT who wants mentorship, hands-on variety, and a team that actually feels like one, we want to meet you too.

Congratulations, Conner. We're pumped you're here.

Lisa is a therapist herself, but nothing prepared her for truly understanding lymphedema until she lived it.

Diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer at 41, Lisa caught it early and went through nearly a year of surgeries, chemo, and radiation. After surgery, lymphedema set in, bringing swelling and pain in her right arm and breast that left her weak and, at first, in denial about what was happening.

"I can't move my arm. It hurts, it's swollen." That was Lisa's reality until she connected with our team.

This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, we want survivors like Lisa to know: lymphedema is common after breast cancer treatment, and PTSMC can help manage it. At PTSMC Shelton, our specialists create personalized care plans using manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and strength-focused rehab to help you move, and feel, like yourself again.

Lisa's goal was simple: "I wanna feel strong." Ours is to help every patient get there.

If you or someone you love is navigating lymphedema after breast cancer, our Shelton clinic is here. Link in bio to schedule an evaluation.

Feeling stuck or tight?

Soft tissue decompression (aka cupping) might be your new favorite tool. By creating negative pressure, we gently pull the tissue upward to release deep fascial restrictions that stretching and rolling can’t always reach. Fresh blood rushes in, tension releases, and you leave feeling lighter. 💆‍♂️💪

Ready to move without the restriction? Call us to book your appointment!

Great day at the Big Sky 5K! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The PTSMC team was out supporting runners before and after the race with stretching, recovery, and a little extra TLC for some tired legs. Events like this are a great reminder of why we love being part of the community. We do it to help people stay active, recover well, and keep doing the things they love.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our tent, and congratulations to all of the runners who crossed the finish line! We’re already looking forward to the next one. ❤️ #PTSMC #BigSky5K #PhysicalTherapy #SportsMedicine #physicaltherapyct taken in Farmington, Connecticut by @ptsmc

Event Highlight: getting photobombed by Handsome Dan at the Yale Health Plan Fall Wellness Mixer! 🐾

Our team connected with Yale Health employees and providers, and we couldn't resist a photo op with Yale's favorite bulldog alongside Danielle Butsch, Natalie Swanson, and Chris Colley.

Thanks to Yale Health for having us out. Events like this are exactly why we love being part of the Connecticut community, good people, good causes, and apparently, very good dogs. 🐶

Our Newington clinic was honored by the Lucy Robbins Welles Library for our long standing sponsorship of their annual 5K! 📚🏃‍♀️

We're incredibly grateful and honored to have been recognized, because it's about so much more than years of sponsorship. It's about the relationships we've built along the way and the chance to be part of a community event that's bigger than our business.

Having the award presented by a past patient made it extra special. Her words about our clinic were personal and genuine, and that means everything to us.

We're thankful for this recognition and even more thankful for the partnership we've built over the past 16 years. We're proud to call Newington home.

Here's to many more years of running, volunteering, supporting, and giving back together! 🏃🏻‍♂️
