Tesla just unveiled its wildest Roadster yet.

The new car uses SpaceX-inspired cold-gas thrusters that can help with acceleration, braking, and short airborne maneuvers.

Tesla also demonstrated the Roadster leaving the ground during its reveal, pushing it far beyond what you’d normally expect from a production supercar.

The company says it can hit 0-60 mph in under one second and reach more than 230 mph.

If even most of this makes it to the final production version, the Roadster could end up being one of the strangest performance cars ever built.

Would you actually drive a car with thrusters?

In November 2016, a road near Hakata Station in Fukuoka, Japan, suddenly collapsed into a sinkhole roughly 30 metres long, 27 metres wide and 15 metres deep. No one was injured, but the collapse swallowed a major intersection and damaged the utilities beneath it.

Workers filled the hole with a soil and cement mixture, repaired the buried utilities and rebuilt the road. It reopened just days after the collapse.
