📣 A #happilyeverafter eight months in the making…TYSON is adopted!

We rescued this social butterfly 🦋 pocket pittie from @nycacc this past February. Due to a chronically prolapsed rectum and multiple failed purse string surgeries, he was at risk. Dogs like TYSON are what our #OneLuckyPup program was created for - to save the lives of dogs facing extraordinary challenges! 💪🏽

As soon as we scooped him up from the shelter, we immediately ensured he received lifesaving emergency medical care, which included a coloplexy surgery to ensure his GI issues were resolved once and for all. His road to recovery would be long and challenging. We could not have done with without his team of advocates, which included a medical recovery foster, @_barkparty_, who nurtured him for six months before his care was transferred to foster @annie112867, who went to work on his ‘finishing school’ training. Ann, an incredibly kind and patient human, and her family poured everything into fostering TYSON, from figuring out the exact ratio of fiber and liquid needed to help his body process his food normally and how to get him to easily gobble it up, to creating his adoption page @tysontailspa, all while she worked tirelessly to catch him up on all the socialization and training cues he missed out on.

🥊Today, this happy-go-lucky survivor who never gave up now goes by the most appropriate name of BALBOA (as in Rocky! 😍) is thriving as the latest family member to the Wozney household in NJ. His new mom @rockyourchakra1111 is head over heels for this funny, happy, spirited little man who loves hanging with his big dog sister, all the little humans in his family, going for car rides, and lapping up the love and enrichment he found in his new life. 💕💕

Happy life, Balboa, we can’t wait to watch you grow up exactly where you were always meant to be!
