Tyson here! 🐾 checking in from my new foster home!

No passport was necessary. Very little paperwork on my end. I basically showed up with a collar and some gastrointestinal baggage.

My very astute nose detects a faint whiff of cheesesteaks in the air and there’s a suspicious amount of Phillies attire, so I think I’ve landed somewhere close to Philadelphia.

For those of you who have been following my medical journey, you already know my rear end has received more attention than most Kardashians.

I had lots of medical drama that eventually ended with me needing a colopexy. Apparently, my colon needed some professional assistance working properly and staying where nature intended it to be.

Thanks to Mr. Bones & Co., I’m all fixed up and feeling pretty darn good these days. In fact, I’m happy to report those surgery issues are now behind me. 🍑

These days I’m eating new food, and 2x a day my foster mom serves up her signature Metamucil meatballs.

I know.

Try to contain your jealousy.

While other puppies are out there eating treats shaped like little strips of bacon, I’m starting my day with fiber management.

Apparently, I have the gastrointestinal routine of a 74-year-old accountant named Gary.
But Gary and I are staying the course because it’s working. I’m movin’ and groovin’ like the other dogs and, and in true Tyson fashion, taking it all in stride.

I had a pretty rough start to life, but I’ve decided my medical history should get a little less airtime. I am much more than Tyson with a colon issue.

So, I'll keep you updated on things, but moving forward I will now plan on being known more for my cute face, adorable personality and whatever other talents I discover.

Frankly, I was hoping to become Instagram famous for my face. But hey, we work with what we’re given. 💩

Thank you to Mr. Bones & Co. and to all who have donated, follow my journey, worry about me, rooted for me and helped me get this far. ❤️

📣 A #happilyeverafter eight months in the making…TYSON is adopted!

We rescued this social butterfly 🦋 pocket pittie from @nycacc this past February. Due to a chronically prolapsed rectum and multiple failed purse string surgeries, he was at risk. Dogs like TYSON are what our #OneLuckyPup program was created for - to save the lives of dogs facing extraordinary challenges! 💪🏽

As soon as we scooped him up from the shelter, we immediately ensured he received lifesaving emergency medical care, which included a coloplexy surgery to ensure his GI issues were resolved once and for all. His road to recovery would be long and challenging. We could not have done with without his team of advocates, which included a medical recovery foster, @_barkparty_, who nurtured him for six months before his care was transferred to foster @annie112867, who went to work on his ‘finishing school’ training. Ann, an incredibly kind and patient human, and her family poured everything into fostering TYSON, from figuring out the exact ratio of fiber and liquid needed to help his body process his food normally and how to get him to easily gobble it up, to creating his adoption page @tysontailspa, all while she worked tirelessly to catch him up on all the socialization and training cues he missed out on.

🥊Today, this happy-go-lucky survivor who never gave up now goes by the most appropriate name of BALBOA (as in Rocky! 😍) is thriving as the latest family member to the Wozney household in NJ. His new mom @rockyourchakra1111 is head over heels for this funny, happy, spirited little man who loves hanging with his big dog sister, all the little humans in his family, going for car rides, and lapping up the love and enrichment he found in his new life. 💕💕

Happy life, Balboa, we can’t wait to watch you grow up exactly where you were always meant to be!

Today I thought I’d remind you I’m more than just eye candy. 👀
I am also introspective. 🌸
I’ve had a pretty rough first 11 months, but I’ve learned something: no matter what life throws at you, always take time to stop and smell the flowers.
Appreciate where you are. Be grateful for the good days. Enjoy the good days. Really breathe it all in.
I may be inspiration at times, but I still have priorities so I’m off to sniff up a cute poodle with a sweet haircut! 🐩
