My birthday (September 20) took a scary turn this year.

I became unresponsive during dialysis and was hospitalized. Testing has revealed significant inflammation around one of my kidneys, suggesting a severe infection. Despite antibiotics, my nephrologists decided to remove the kidney on October 26th.

Recovery will be lengthy, and I expect to remain hospitalized until the end of October at the earliest.

I’m sharing this to let everyone know, we may be slow to respond or unavailable entirely during this time. Please understand if we can’t answer all messages or provide individual updates.

It’s been a frightening few months, and we’re taking things one day at a time. Thank you for your patience, love, and understanding. ❤️
