The best thing I was told about divorce is that feelings are like waves, sometimes it's really high that it feels like the end of the world, and some other times it's calm and peaceful. I feel like during separation and divorce, i’ve experienced so many different feelings for the first time, it's like reinventing yourself 😕

I was my own lawyer in my divorce and took the house. Spent the next three years upgrading the "guts" of the home and redecorating everything. Gained an entirely new skill set, from lawn care to tool use to simple home repairs to car care. Upgraded myself on a personal level and not dating because of it. The whole thing has been its own flavor of hard in many ways, but incredibly satisfying in many more. ❤️💯

Yasss! 🙌 preach! My divorce took about 2 years. Officially ended in Jan 2026 and this year has been so great. Finally free!
