Mirror 🪞 an original piece, painted in acrylic on recycled cardboard ♻️

Inspired by Eduardo Galeano’s words: «  we live in a culture of packing that despises content » 🤔

This piece explores appearance, identity and what lies beneath the image we choose to show the world.

A masked woman, adorned an elaborate style holds a mirror that reveals a more intimate version of herself, stripped of her ornaments. Their eyes meet at the same level, transforming the mirror into more than a reflection: an invitation to look within 👀

In a world where image can overshadow essence, looking in the mirror means embracing all that we are: our strengths, vulnerabilities, qualities and shadows…

I’ve been in Michigan these last few days, and what I’ve seen here has inspired me. The Senate race is truly neck and neck, and people are working so hard to turn out every vote they can. That work has called the cavalry, so I decided that it’s time to step up and change the game - because that’s what we do. . This election will come down to the wire. The result will stand for 6 years and have consequences for the entire United States. Every vote, call, door, and dollar between now and November 3rd - the next 18 days - will affect the outcome of this race. . I don’t want to wake up on November 4th wishing I did more to combat the smears aimed at Abdul and meant to divide working Michiganders. I want to wake up having left everything on the field, just like the everyday people I met across the state are for all our future. 18 days. Let’s go!
